Leadership/Management / Human Development/ Social Work Majors Welcome!

Description: Work alongside a community social worker, to support a team of social work interns and program staff to strengthen family and community life in Johnson City.  


Duties will include:

  1. Help develop and continue supportive ways to connect to families whose children come to the Dream Center’s after school programs.
  2. Establish and maintain a database of youth enrolled in programs
  3. Assist in desktop publishing activities to create communication materials.
  4. Copy communication materials to distribute to youth and families. 
  5. Organize donations for Christmas gifts for children and help in the distribution on Tuesday evenings during November. 
  6. Assist in annual coat give away.  Distribute sign up forms at community supper, compile list, send to United Way, and help hand out coats when they come in.


Training

Must be available to meet for weekly assignments at one of the following times: Sunday morning, Monday afternoon, Tuesday between 1:30 and 6:30 PM, or Wednesday after 12 noon.  Credit Available for independent study or internship.


Qualifications:  Good Role Model.  Self-starter.  Good interpersonal skills and computer skills.  Able to work alone and at a fast pace.
